  What is the % of Born-Agains Christians that tell you "Trinity" or else die

  i know this might sound abit "harsh" but i think it is time ex-jw's, new born agains, or people just interested in the bible put a stop to this "believe"in the trinity doctrine or go to eternal flames" madness.

  alot of innocent young one are being emotional damaged by this burn in hell fiasco.

  just like the wts "no blood"policy and if you take a blood transfusion you will be announced "no longer one of jw's" and shunned by your family and friends, the hell fire doctrine does alot of damage to the innocent mind on several levels.

  sorry everyone, this was so stupid i just had to post it - apologies if it has been discussed before.

  this is something that has been doing the email rounds in local congregations - the stone from nebuchadnezzar's dream, as depicted by the wts over the years:1958, "your will be done on earth", page 112. the stone is still quite a good distance away.1999, "pay attention to daniel's prophecy", page 58. the stone is now quite close.2004, "keep on the watch", page 15. crunch.. .

  I seem to recall one of the books in the 60's or 70's that showed the stone hitting the base of the statue and the statue topling over but I can't remember which book it was.

  my atheist's book of bible stories is nearly complete, so i thought i would write the epic masterpiece history of my family, from the time that they came to canada until today.

  i am calling the book "east of edenwold" (which is a small town in saskatchewan).

  I was at the 1969 Vancouver convention. Reading what you wrote brings back memories. As a matter of fact we had a JW family stay at our house that was from Saskatchewan. I remember the sister that was killed by the amusement park train. Also I recall how we watched the moon landing after coming home from the last day of the convention, July 20.

  i was just reading the post of ldh on that thread about "class" warfare.

  it made me think of something because she mentioned "socialism".

  way back when (60s & 70s) this was a very common objection out in the field service.

  Growing up I was not allowed to get a higher education so I could eventually make the better money. Then was pushed into a JW marriage so I had no choice but to take a shift working job to support my family. Maybe if they would have allowed me to get that higher education I would have got a better paying job that wouldn't have been shift work. The society wants it both ways.

  i know that many of you have the information discussing the watchtower's view on this and why so many thought it was going to be the beginning of armageddon and the mass exodus from the org when nothing happened.

  i remember it very well and my mom telling me not to get my hopes up because she had been looking for the ancient worthies to appear for years at the assemblies and that never happened.

  then they changed their prophesy on that too!!!

  I was there and grew up in the pre 1975 jdub's. The hype was real and the WT was careful enough to cover their butts when it all blew up in their faces. It was just a ploy to bring in new converts and more $$$. I recall studying with a in the late 60's and early 70's. I was told that I would not graduate high school in this "system of things". We were all encouraged to drop out of school and work cleaning windows, sweeping floors or cleaning toilets and go into the full time preaching work as the time was so short.

  BB I speak from personal experience, so unless you lived those times don't waste mine or anyone else's time on here justifying all the WT lies.
